How much speaker does your room need? Barefoot Sound’s studio monitors span compact Footprint models, MicroMain systems and larger MiniMain designs, with subwoofers and centre speakers for expanding the setup. We’ve got options for stereo mixing and immersive monitoring, whether you’re working close to the speakers or across a larger control room (the tape measure gets a say). Barefoot began in a San Francisco garage, where Thomas Barefoot set out to combine the roles of nearfield, main and mastering monitors. The MicroMain27 brought that thinking to studios in 2006. Later came MEME technology, offering alternative monitor voicings for checking a mix without moving to another pair of speakers.

Compact pair or expanded system? Our collection includes Footprint01 Gen2, Footprint02 Gen2 and Footprint03 monitors, alongside MicroMain26, MicroMain27 and MicroMain45 models. The Footprint03C adds a dedicated centre speaker, while MicroSub45 and LFE15 options cover different low-frequency requirements. Plan the signal routing too: your monitor controller needs to support the channels and speaker configuration you intend to use.
