Locomotive Audio Power-Mu 500
The Locomotive Audio Power-Mu delivers smooth tube compression on stereo sources. With its stepped knobs, you get precision control and easy recall, saving you valuable time in your mixing sessions. While it shines at gentle gain reduction, it can also be pushed into deeper gain reduction for a rich, harmonic presence. This full-featured 500 series compressor provides ample control, making it a versatile tool for any audio professional.
Full control of gain staging, harmonics, compression threshold, and ratio are at the heart of the Power-Mu experience. Input and output controls allow you to decide how much audio level you would like to send through the unit. The AC and DC threshold controls determine when compression kicks in, and what kind of compression knee is obtained. Lower DC threshold settings will have a softer onset of compression, while higher DC threshold settings will have a harder knee with limiting characteristics.

With such a wide range of products we cant stock everything at all times.
The product page will display if an item is in stock. If it is marked as pre-order, you can place your order as normal and await its arrival into stock.
Please get in touch for an estimated shipping date. This may vary depending on stocking level with the manufacturer and/or distributor.
What warranty do you get with new gear?
Minimum 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Some manufacturers may also extend this (please see their respective websites for more information).
Can I part exchange used gear towards new gear?

Can I test the equipment before I buy it?
We have a demo room at MNPA HQ where you are welcome to come and try out the equipment we have in stock. We’re not a shop and open to the general public so please get in touch via our Contact Form to book an appointment before coming to see us.
