Focal makes its own drivers in Saint-Étienne, and has done since Jacques Mahul founded the company in 1979. The inverted beryllium dome tweeter in the Solo6 Be, Twin6 Be and Trio6 Be is the giveaway: plenty of detail without the fatigue. We’ve got those studio monitors, the Shape 50, Shape 65 and Shape Twin, the Twin ST6, the Sub6 and Clear headphones coming through.

The Be range is the classic studio Focal: the Solo6 Be two-way, the Twin6 Be with its two woofers and the Trio6 Be, which switches from three-way to two-way for a second opinion (handy at 2am). The Shape range swaps beryllium for flax cones and passive radiators, the Twin ST6 is the newer take on the Twin, and the Sub6 fills in the bottom.
