A little Olympic history in your rack. H2 Audio draws on Helios console circuitry, bringing those designs to standalone recording hardware. The Helios 2128 puts the microphone amplifier from the 0011 module into a 500 series format, joining our mic preamps for tracking vocals, drums and instruments. Set the input gain, then balance the output (owning the whole console is optional).
Hand-assembled in Detroit, the 2128 combines a custom input transformer with a transformer-balanced output amplifier. Its separate output control lets you push the preamp while managing the level sent to the next device. A 20dB pad, selectable 40Hz or 80Hz high-pass filter, polarity reversal and phantom power provide practical recording controls. Plan space alongside your other 500 series units and choose a suitable 500 series chassis.
