At the core of the Type-21 is the same Generation 5 HK12 capsule found in the acclaimed Heiserman H251, hand-crafted by master technicians in the USA for consistency, nuance, and musicality. Packed into an all-aluminium body, the Type-21 employs a unique transformerless circuit built around a low-noise JFET, precision resistors, and carefully selected tantalum and film capacitors to deliver a rich, dimensional sound with exceptional clarity. This compact footprint makes it ideal for drum rooms, guitar cabs, vocal booths, and any confined space where a classic 251-inspired tone is needed without the bulk.
The Type-21 is engineered to handle whatever a modern session can throw at it, pairing studio-grade sonics with road-ready durability. A softly glowing Heiserman logo isn't just for aesthetics - it is a functional part of the circuit and a visual cue that the mic is ready to work. Switchable polar patterns (cardioid, omni, and figure-8), a high-pass filter, and a -15 dB pad give engineers precise control at the source, whether taming low-end buildup or managing high-SPL instruments.

Are all new items in stock?
With such a wide range of products we cant stock everything at all times.
The product page will display if an item is in stock. If it is marked as pre-order, you can place your order as normal and await its arrival into stock.
Please get in touch for an estimated shipping date. This may vary depending on stocking level with the manufacturer and/or distributor.
What warranty do you get with new gear?
Minimum 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Some manufacturers may also extend this (please see their respective websites for more information).
Can I part exchange used gear towards new gear?

Can I test the equipment before I buy it?
We have a demo room at MNPA HQ where you are welcome to come and try out the equipment we have in stock. We’re not a shop and open to the general public so please get in touch via our Contact Form to book an appointment before coming to see us.
