Moog

Bob Moog wasn’t sold on the Minimoog at first. A hard-wired, portable version of his modular seemed beside the point, until it wasn’t, and in 1970 he put out the synth every other synth has been measured against since. From the 1963 shop in Trumansburg to the factory in Asheville, North Carolina, the ladder filter has never gone away. We’ve got Minimoogs, Voyagers, Sub 37s and Moogerfoogers coming through.

The modular came first, in 1964, at the prompting of composer Herbert Deutsch, and the Minimoog ran from 1970 to 1981. Bob bought his own name back in 2002 and answered the original with the Minimoog Voyager, which outsold it, and Moog Music settled in Asheville and kept going: Little Phatty, Sub Phatty, Sub 37, Mother-32 and the Model D reissue of 2016.

What comes through here: Minimoog Model D reissues, Voyager RMEs and the Electric Blue, Sub 37s, Subsequent 37s and 25s, Sub Phattys and the Sirin, plus the semi-modular Grandmother, Matriarch and Mother-32. The Moogerfooger pedals turn up with the MF-102 ring modulator, MF-104Z delay and MF-107 FreqBox among them, and the 500 series delay and Ladder Filter modules bring the Moog filter to the rack.

A Model D or a Voyager rarely lasts a week on the shelf, so if the synth you want has gone, tell us via Find Me Gear and we’ll let you know when the next one comes in. Everything is checked over here and ready to ship UK-wide.
