Designer Martin Kantola’s work began with inspiration from a 1953 Neumann U47, eventually leading to original capsules and FloFET circuitry. The NU-24K combines a 30mm edge-terminated capsule with electronics designed to evoke valve character without valves or transformers. The NU-314K takes another direction: a large-diaphragm omnidirectional pressure microphone, suited to stereo and Decca tree recording as well as individual sources.
