Radial

Radial built its name on the box nobody photographs and everybody owns. Peter Janis founded the company in Vancouver, and its first DI, the JDI of 1996, was named for the Jensen transformer inside it. Reampers, splitters, switchers and a whole Workhorse 500 series range followed. We’ve got DIs, reampers, modules and racks coming through, from the Firefly valve DI to the Q3 coil EQ.

Passive or active? The JDI leans on its Jensen, the PRO DI, PRO D2 and eight-channel PRO-D8 are the everyday options, the JDX takes its feed from a guitar amp and the JPC is built for computers. Reamping runs the other way (record the DI now, choose the amp later): the X-Amp, PRO-RMP and JD7 send it back out, the SGI carries a guitar down a long cable run and the EXTC-Stereo brings pedals into the studio chain.

In a lunchbox there’s the Power Pre and JDV-Pre, the PreComp, the Komit compressor, the Q3 and PhazeQ, the Space Heater saturation unit, the Tank Driver for real spring reverb and the EXTC 500, X-Amp 500 and Shuttle for pedals, with Workhorse and Powerstrip racks to hold them. The JS2 splitter, PRO MS2, Gold Digger mic selector and SW8 switcher fill the gaps.

If the box you need isn’t here, Find Me Gear will track one down. Every unit is checked and ready to ship UK-wide.
