Reslo
The Reslo RB is the ribbon mic you see in old photos of British broadcasts, and it still earns its keep. Reslosound made microphones in Romford, Essex, from the 1950s, for studios, bands and above all the BBC. Xaudia now rebuilds them as ‘The Beeb’, with a fresh ribbon, an upgraded transformer and an XLR socket. We’ve got ribbon RBs, RBHs, RVs and more.
Most of what comes through is the RB family: the RB itself, RB/MT pairs, the RBH and RV, plus the URA and PR ribbons and the PGD dynamic. Reslosound joined the Derritron group in 1963 and made mics for other brands as well as its own (a GEC or VOX badge on a Reslo body is no surprise), so the GEC-badged BCS2378 and VOX and GEC versions of The Beeb belong here too.
If the model you’re after isn’t listed, tell Find Me Gear. Each one is checked and listened to before it’s ready to ship UK-wide.
