RME

The singer wants more vocal. The drummer wants more click. RME’s audio interfaces put routing and monitoring at the centre of the session, alongside analogue and digital connections for different recording setups. Our collection spans Fireface interfaces, ADI converters and Digiface models, from microphone recording to networked audio. Plan the inputs and headphone feeds together (everyone has an opinion about their mix).

RME’s TotalMix FX mixer gives compatible interfaces independent output mixes, so performers can hear different balances from the same inputs. On the Fireface UFX III, that routing sits alongside analogue connections, ADAT, AES and MADI. Its DURec function also records directly to USB storage, providing another way to capture a session without relying on the computer.

USB interface or a bridge between digital formats? Our collection includes MADIface USB, Digiface AES, Digiface Dante, Digiface AVB and Digiface Ravenna. Each serves a different connection format, so match the unit to the equipment already in your room. HDSPe cards offer internal computer expansion, while OctaMic mic preamps and ADI converters cover other parts of the recording chain. For monitoring, the range also includes ADI-2 models and the ARC USB remote. Check the exact model’s inputs, outputs and control options when planning speaker and headphone connections. Similar names can cover quite different jobs.
