Burl Audio Black BAD16

The Burl Audio Black BAD16 is a 16-channel analog-to-digital converter daughter card engineered specifically for the B80 and B16 Mothership modular chassis. Designed to double the input channels of previous Mothership configurations, the BAD16 delivers 16 channels of pristine 24-bit/192kHz A/D conversion in a single card slot. Featuring a sleek anodised black faceplate, it allows a single 4U B80 Mothership to house up to 160 channels of A/D conversion.

Built to leverage the Mothership 3 intercommunication architecture, the BAD16 automatically maps 16 continuous channels per slot across MADI, Dante, or SoundGrid networks without manual jumper routing or physical card grouping.

Equipped with two industry-standard DB25 female connectors on the rear faceplate, the BAD16 provides 16 balanced analog inputs in a compact, single-slot form factor. Onboard hardware options allow engineers to select between Short Delay and Long Delay digital reconstruction filters, while integrated Avid delay compensation ensures sample accurate phase alignment when integrated alongside BAD4 or BAD8 cards in complex hybrid setups.
