The Burl Audio Black BDA16 is a 16-channel digital-to-analog converter daughter card engineered specifically for the B80 and B16 Mothership modular chassis. Designed to maximize channel density for large summing setups, hybrid outboard loops, and immersive multi-speaker monitoring, the BDA16 delivers 16 channels of high-resolution 24-bit/192kHz D/A conversion in a single card slot. Built on Burl’s NextGen Class-A discrete architecture powered by proprietary BOPA14 op-amps, it provides smooth high-frequency clarity, warm low-end weight, and deep spatial imaging across all 16 outputs.

Designed to take full advantage of the Mothership 3 intercommunication architecture, the BDA16 automatically maps 16 continuous analog output channels per slot across MADI, Dante, or SoundGrid networks.

Equipped with two industry-standard DB25 female connectors on the rear faceplate, the BDA16 outputs 16 balanced analog channels in a compact, single-slot form factor. The front panel features individual LED status indicators for all 16 channels for real-time visual signal monitoring. Integrated Avid delay compensation ensures sample-accurate phase alignment when running hardware inserts alongside other Mothership daughter cards in Pro Tools.
