Focusrite RedNet D16R MkII
The Focusrite RedNet D16R MkII is a compact 1U Dante interface delivering 16 channels of AES3 digital input and output to and from AoIP networks. Engineered for broadcast facilities, live sound reinforcement, and post-production suites, it seamlessly integrates digital consoles, outboard processors, and digital playback hardware into standard IP networks with rock-solid stability. The MkII revision introduces individual input and output channel trim controls via RedNet Control, allowing precise digital gain matching and level adjustment across all 16 AES3 channels directly from software.
Built for uninterrupted performance, the D16R MkII features dual internal power supplies with separate IEC inlets and dual locking etherCON network ports supporting redundant network modes. Asynchronous Sample Rate Converters (SRC) on every input pair eliminate the need to lock external digital gear to a global network master clock.
Key Features
16x16 AES3 Digital I/O: Connects 8 pairs of AES3 inputs and outputs via DB-25 connectors, plus supplementary S/PDIF optical/coaxial and XLR I/O.
Asynchronous Sample Rate Conversion: High-quality SRC on all inputs allows non-synced external digital sources to bridge directly into your network.
Software Channel Trim: Individual digital level control per channel via RedNet Control for exact level matching across mixed digital equipment.
Dual Power & Network Redundancy: Features dual internal PSUs and dual etherCON ports to safeguard against unexpected power loss or network cable failure.
Broadcast Ready: Fully compliant with AES67, SMPTE ST 2110, and Dante Domain Manager (DDM) enterprise network environments.
Comprehensive Clocking Infrastructure: BNC Word Clock I/O ensures reliable synchronization with external house clocks.
