Founded in 1991 by Peter Thomas and Adrian Loader, PMC grew from their work in audio engineering and a desire for more revealing loudspeakers. Its Advanced Transmission Line, or ATL, uses energy from behind the bass driver to support low-frequency output. On models such as the PMC6, Laminair vents manage airflow at the transmission-line exit to reduce unwanted air noise.

Horizontal, vertical and centre-channel options serve different layouts, while XBD systems add dedicated bass cabinets.
