Rockruepel
Some compressors are built with as few parts in the signal path as possible, and Rockruepel’s are among them. Oliver Gregor founded the company in Düsseldorf in 2004, and everything is designed and made in Germany: the Comp.two valve compressor, the Limit.one mastering limiter and the Sidechain.one. We’ve got the Comp.two and the Sidechain.one, singly and as a linked stereo bundle.
The Comp.two is a two-channel vari-mu design with just six components in each channel’s audio path - two transformers, two coupling capacitors and two valves - plus a sidechain filter and stereo-linked or dual-mono operation. The Sidechain.one, developed with mastering engineers Stefan Heger and Luca Pretolesi, is a mono VCA design built around its sidechain: two faders set the band that triggers it (and Listen lets you hear exactly what it’s reacting to), and two units link for stereo or mid-side work. For the rest of our outboard, or anything else from Rockruepel, ask through Find Me Gear. Everything is checked here and ready to ship UK-wide.
