The Rockruepel Comp Two is a variable-mu stereo tube compressor engineered for critical recording, mixing, and mastering applications. Designed with an ultra-clean, minimalist audio path, the Comp Two pairs custom SOWTER input and output transformers with a fully balanced tube circuit built around NOS 6N3 input and 6CG7 output tubes. Delivering an extremely fast attack time combined with the rapid transient response of VCA designs and smooth, musical depth of classic vari-mu compressors.

The Comp Two features an innovative Amp-Only mode that bypasses the gain reduction circuit while keeping the full transformer, tube, and high-end coupling capacitor signal path fully active. This allows engineers to use the unit purely as a stereo tube line preamplifier, adding rich harmonic saturation, weight, and subtle tube glue without applying dynamic compression.

Built as a true dual-mono device with separate power supplies for each channel, the Comp Two guarantees maximum stereo separation and dynamic stability. A four-position Side-Chain High-Pass Filter ( $54\text{ Hz}$ , $74\text{ Hz}$ , $110\text{ Hz}$ , $160\text{ Hz}$ ) prevents low-frequency bass energy from triggering unwanted compression pumping on mix buses. Stepped ELMA rotary switches and ALPS potentiometers ensure exact channel matching and repeatable recall across mastering sessions.
