Rupert Neve Designs

How much colour does the recording need? Rupert Neve Designs gives you control over that decision, from mic preamps with Silk circuitry to processors for the finished mix. Our collection includes the 511, Shelford Channel, RNDI family and summing hardware, covering the journey from instrument to stereo output. Choose where to add character (every track needn’t wear the same coat), then build the chain around it.

Founded in Wimberley, Texas, in 2005, Rupert Neve Designs continued its namesake’s work on analogue recording circuits. The Shelford Channel draws on ideas from his 1073, 1064 and 2254 console modules, combining microphone amplification, inductor EQ and diode-bridge compression. Its Silk and Texture controls let you adjust harmonic colour at the output, giving you another tonal choice alongside gain, EQ and dynamics.

One channel or a modular rack? The 511 preamp, 551 Inductor EQ and 535 Diode Bridge Compressor feature among our 500 series units, with R6 and R10 chassis to house them. For instrument recording, RNDI, RNDI-M and stereo RNDI-S DI boxes offer different formats. Further along the signal path, the 5057 Orbit and 5059 Satellite provide analogue summing, while the Master Bus Transformer and Master Bus Converter address mix processing and conversion. The RNHP headphone amplifier also features in the collection for listening back to those decisions.

Planning a Rupert Neve Designs setup? Give Find Me Gear the models and channel requirements, and we’ll help source them. In-stock equipment is ready to ship UK-wide.
