Shadow Hills

The transformer is part of the decision. Shadow Hills gives you selectable output colours alongside microphone gain and dynamics control, from Mono GAMA mic preamps to the Mastering Compressor. Our collection also includes the Dual Vandergraph and Equinox, covering modular recording chains and stereo mix processing. Choose the circuit for the job, then compare settings by ear (those imposing meters only tell part of the story).

The Mastering Compressor places optical compression before a discrete VCA compressor on each channel, with independent bypass and stereo or dual-mono operation. Nickel, Iron and Steel output transformers provide further tonal choices, even with both compression sections bypassed.

Building a modular chain? Mono GAMA joins our 500 series units, with Nickel, Discrete and Steel output settings. The Equinox combines GAMA microphone amplification, analogue summing and monitor control in a rackmount format.
