SPL
More attack, less sustain? SPL puts those decisions directly on the front panel. Its studio range covers transient shaping, stereo processing and compressors, alongside equipment for hearing the results. Our collection includes Transient Designer processors, BiG stereo image tools and monitor controllers. Choose around what the recording needs, from a tighter drum sound to a clearer listening setup (another take isn’t always an option).
SPL has been developing audio equipment since 1983. The Transient Designer arrived in 1998 with a different approach to dynamics: adjusting attack and sustain independently of signal level. That lets you bring out the initial hit or shorten the tail without setting a conventional compressor threshold. It’s a direct way to change the envelope of a drum, guitar or other recorded source.
Processing a channel or working across the mix? Our collection includes DeEsser Mk2 for sibilance control, Vitalizer Mk3-T for tonal processing and Iron v2 for valve-based mastering compression. For modular racks, BiG, DeS and TDx offer stereo image processing, de-essing and transient shaping within the 500 series range. On the listening side, Control One and 2Control handle monitor control, while Phonitor One headphone amps provide adjustable crossfeed to make headphone stereo presentation more like listening through speakers.
Filling a rack slot or putting together a listening chain? Tell Find Me Gear which SPL model you need, and we’ll help source it. In-stock equipment is ready to ship UK-wide.
