Austrian Audio OC616 Studio Set

The Austrian Audio OC616 is a multi-pattern large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed in Vienna to deliver pristine, open, and transparency within demanding studio and live environments. Built around Austrian Audio’s handmade CKR12 ceramic capsule, the OC616 delivers an uncoloured, natural presentation with fast transient response, wide dynamic range, and accurate off-axis rejection.. Featuring five switchable polar patterns, onboard analog high-pass filters, and pad attenuation, it functions as a workhorse for vocals, acoustic instruments, loud amplifiers, and stereo tracking.

Key Features

• Handmade CKR12 Ceramic Capsule: Precision 1-inch capsule crafted in Vienna, combining CK12-inspired acoustic performance with modern ceramic durability.

• 5 Selectable Polar Patterns: Instantly switch between Omnidirectional, Wide Cardioid, Cardioid, Hypercardioid, and Figure-8.

• Open Acoustic Technology: Direct acoustic architecture minimizes internal resonance and sound colouration for realistic depth and imaging.

• 3-Stage High-Pass Filter: Selectable $40\text{ Hz}$, $80\text{ Hz}$, or $160\text{ Hz}$ filters to roll off proximity effect and low-end mechanical noise.

• 2-Stage Pad Attenuation: Switchable $-10\text{ dB}$ and $-20\text{ dB}$ pads prevent front-end overload on extreme SPL sources.

• Complete Studio Set Accessories: Includes the OCS6 spider shock mount, OCH8 mic clip, and MCS616 protective carry case.
