Developed in close collaboration with legendary mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge, the CLA-10 Passive is an authentic, powered homage to the iconic "white cone" studio monitor that has defined the sound of hit records for years.
Featuring an unforgiving, midrange-forward frequency response, the CLA-10 Active focuses on some of the most critical elements of your project. Getting your mix sounding great on a pair of CLA-10s means it will sound great on any playback system.
The AV10-MHF Tweeter: Underwent rigorous testing to duplicate the exact phenolic resin doping and high-frequency performance curve of the vintage original.
The AV10-MLF Woofer: Features custom- mechanical parts that mirror the original stiffness and weight. By using an advanced pressed-cone design instead of a lapped cone, Avantone achieves consistency, making perfectly matched pairs readily available.
With certain generations of the original passive monitors, some engineers resorted to taping tissue paper over the tweeters to tame the top end. The CLA-10 Passive solves this by emulating every era with an onboard VTPC (Variable Tissue Paper Control) knob. This allows you to fluidly dial in the acoustic response of anything from the early vertical models to the later horizontal "Studio" models.

Are all new items in stock?
With such a wide range of products we cant stock everything at all times.
The product page will display if an item is in stock. If it is marked as pre-order, you can place your order as normal and await its arrival into stock.
Please get in touch for an estimated shipping date. This may vary depending on stocking level with the manufacturer and/or distributor.
What warranty do you get with new gear?
Minimum 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Some manufacturers may also extend this (please see their respective websites for more information).
Can I part exchange used gear towards new gear?

Can I test the equipment before I buy it?
