Providing up to +25 dB of ultra-clean, transparent gain, it allows low-sensitivity microphones deliver maximum clarity without forcing your preamp into its noisy upper gain range.

Powered completely by standard +48V phantom power, the CL-1 uses the phantom power to drive its internal JFET gain stage while blocking DC current from passing through to the microphone. This makes it entirely safe for delicate passive ribbon microphones, vintage dynamics, and tube mic power supplies.
