Cloud Microphones JRS34P Passive Ribbon Microphone
Co-designed with Stephen Sank, the son of RCA microphone designer Jon R. Sank, the Cloud Microphones JRS-34P merges the classic sonic DNA of the RCA 44 and BK-11 ribbon microphones with modern engineering. Featuring an ultra-thin 1.8-micron hand tuned pure aluminium ribbon paired with a custom CineMag output transformer, the JRS-34P delivers rich low end weight, silky uncoloured highs, and open transient response across vocals and instruments.
As a passive ribbon transducer, the JRS-34P requires no phantom power and delivers an uncompromised organic frequency response. Paired with a high-gain preamp or a Cloudlifter Mic Activator, the JRS-34P captures subtle acoustic textures, guitar cabinets, brass, and vocals without harsh top-end resonance.
