Follow the signal from the microphone to the mix. Focusrite’s range spans transformer-based mic preamps, analogue processing and audio interfaces, with ISA, Red and RedNet designs handling different parts of the job. Our collection brings those families together for recording and studio routing (the red panel doesn’t tell the whole story). Choose around the sound, channel count and connections your next session needs.
Focusrite’s story began in 1985 with a commission from Sir George Martin. The resulting ISA 110 brought microphone preamplification and EQ to the recording chain, laying the groundwork for the company’s console designs. The Red Range followed in 1993, carrying that circuit heritage into standalone preamps, equalisers and dynamics processors.
Tracking several sources? The ISA428 MkII puts four channels of Lundahl transformer-based preamplification into a 2U rack. Each channel offers switchable input impedance, so you can change how the preamp interacts with the microphone. Instrument inputs and analogue inserts give you further options when building the recording chain.
Our earlier listings have included ISA430 Producer Packs, ISA 215 preamp and EQ units, and Red 3 compressors. Red 8Pre and Red 16Line interfaces, RedNet converters and the RedNet R1 controller cover other parts of the studio. With these families, check the exact generation, fitted expansion cards and connection requirements before planning how everything will work together.
Got a particular ISA or Red unit in mind? Tell Find Me Gear which model and configuration you’re after, and we’ll help track it down. In-stock equipment is ready to ship UK-wide.
